Crail Pottery is a family run business producing a diverse range of stoneware, terracotta planters, raku and bright hand painted earthenware since 1965. Each of their pots are individually hand crafted, hand thrown on the wheel and decorated, glazed and fired in their workshops in Crail.
We were approached by the family, who wanted their current website to be redesigned and updated to display their products appealingly on a site which reflects their family oriented, hard working ethos.
Photography is the main feature of this website and the site was designed to present the pictures as headers and footers, wrapping the content of the site. Neutral colours were selected for the text, background and tabs to place emphasis on the stunning images.
An interesting feature of this site is the story line section which highlights the pottery process. Sliding images and text, automatically change, telling the full story of how the pots are made.
The site is fully content managed, enabling the owners to edit content and upload pictures to their gallery to keep the site fresh and up to date.
